Collaborations

Diaz & Babuts

Collaborations is a project created with Joey Christiano Diaz representing over a decades worth of photographing and recording each other in the many different locations we have lived and traveled to. As a queer identified couple, engaging in this ongoing photographic and video art practice has been vital in expressing our visibility and a love that moves through time and space. Through interaction with our environment we are locating ourselves in relationship to it, at the same time that we are investigating a disruption of the normative dictates of these spaces. Through these photos and videos we are claiming our existence outside of forces that attempt to define, categorize and enforce appraisals on human lives.
