Hagiographies

Hagiographies is the name of my current project in development. It is an interdisciplinary work which includes photography, video, creative writing, conceptual performance strategies, movement and dance, as well as scholarly research of influential figures from dance history. My research seeks to examine how historical and legacy narratives were originally crafted, how they have shifted over time, and the relevant insights gained upon viewing these stories through our contemporary lens. This project involves the art form of performance to speak to the act of performing itself – on the stage, within the context of art-making, and during the inevitable performances taking place in our daily lives.
